STOLLEN 
8 lbs. white flour
2 1/2 lbs. butter
2 qt. milk
6-12 eggs
1 1/4 lbs. sugar
1 lb. white raisins
1 lb. currants
1/2 lb. blanched and slivered almonds
1/2 lb. citron
1 sm. container candied pineapple
1 sm. container red cherries
1 sm. container green cherries
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mace
1 1/4 lb. Fleischmann's yeast (or 5 pkgs. yeast)

Make sponge of flour, milk and yeast. Let rise until bubbly. Add melted butter, eggs, sugar and rest of ingredients. Add flour and knead down. Shape into loaves (16-18). Let rise in pans about 1 hour. Sprinkle butter and sugar on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 3/4-1 hour. (German Christmas bread handed down from family.)
