MOLASSES COOKIES - EDIBLE
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
 
1 1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling coffee
6 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. grated orange rind
2 tsp. ginger

Cream butter and stir in sugar and molasses. Stir in boiling coffee. Add remaining ingredients and stir until a soft dough is formed. Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead until smooth. Wrap dough and chill for 2 hours. Shape dough as desired (roll and cut), don't forget hole if making decorations, and bake 7-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Decorate with squirt canned frosting if desired. 4-5 dozen.
