CORN FRITTERS 
2 c. cream style corn
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. sugar (may omit)
1 tsp. season all salt
1/4 c. yellow cornmeal
3/4 c. all-purpose flour (if you have self-rising flour leave out the 1 teaspoon baking powder)

Mix together first 7 ingredients. Add flour to make light batter; that can be dropped from spoon into deep fat (375 degrees) without coming apart. Fry until golden brown, drain on paper towel.
