SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. butter Crisco
6 eggs, separated
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together flour and soda. Beat egg whites and set aside. Beat sugar, butter and Crisco; add 1 egg yolk at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and soda alternating with sour cream, beating well after each addition. Last fold in vanilla and egg whites. Bake in greased and floured tube pan 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300 degrees.
