SEVEN LAYER CASSEROLE 
1 c. uncooked rice, washed & drained
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. finely chopped onions
4 strips bacon, cut in half
Salt & pepper to taste

Place the ingredients in layers in a 2 quart baking dish with a tight fitting lid as follows: rice, corn, salt and pepper; pour over 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water; then chopped onion and green pepper. Pour over second can of tomato sauce and 1/4 can of water. Cover with bacon. Cover dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes longer, until bacon is crisp. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
