AMERICAN LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste or sauce
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can (2 1/2 c.) stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
Onion salt or powder
Hot, boiled wide noodles (8 oz. uncooked)
8-12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced

Brown beef and garlic in hot fat. Add tomato paste, tomatoes, and seasonings. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

In oblong baking dish, alternate layers of noodles, Mozzarella and meat sauce. End with meat sauce to prevent noodles from getting hard during baking. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
