1 c. butter, softened 3/4 c. unsifted cornstarch 1/3 c. powdered sugar 1 c. flour Sliced almonds CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: 3 oz. soft cream cheese 1 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Food coloring, any colors Beat butter until creamy. Slowly add cornstarch and powdered sugar. Beat on high until fluffy. Stir in flour until soft dough forms. Chill for 1 hours. Mix cream cheese frosting ingredients; beat until fluffy. Add a few drops of food coloring to desired color. Roll cookie dough into 1 inch balls. Place 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. With finger, press an indentation in center of each. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until firm but not brown. Cool. Top each cookie with a teaspoon of frosting and sliced almond. |
