MOM'S MEATBALLS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. stale bread crumbs (Italian bread crumbs are great) 1 egg, slightly beaten 2/3 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Chopped onions and celery, sauteed until soft Combine all ingredients. Makes into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter, using as little pressure as possible. Cover and let stand 1 hour. Brown meatballs. Add to a spaghetti sauce or keep hot in au jus for party hors d'oeuvres. |
