3 c. sugar 3/4 c. white corn syrup 3/4 c. water 2 egg whites 3 oz. pkg. fruit Jello (any flavor) 1 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. coconut 1 tsp. vanilla Mix first 3 ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Cook to hard ball stage. Beat egg whites until fluffy. Gradually add Jello, beating until mixture holds a peak. Pour syrup into egg white mixture beating constantly until it holds shape and loses its gloss. Fold in vanilla, nuts and coconut. Drop from spoon onto waxed paper, working fast. Let cool. |
