CHERRIETTES 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1/4 c. pecans
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. maraschino cherries

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-4 tbsp. milk

Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. In large bowl combine all ingredients except cherries and pecans. After mixing well add cherries and pecans and mix thoroughly. Shape into 3/4" balls. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool and drizzle icing over baked balls.
