TOMATO SOUP CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. condensed tomato soup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 c. flour
1/4 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Mix ingredients together thoroughly, adding flour last. Spread into cake pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until done. Frost with your favorite frosting.
