FAMOUS LEMON MERINGUE PIE | |
1 crumb crust, 8 inch cooled 1 1/3 c. (15 oz.) Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 1/2 c. lemon juice 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 2 egg yolks In medium bowl, blend together milk, juice, and peel and yolks. Pour into pie crust. MERINGUE: 3 egg whites 6 tbsp. sugar Hand beat egg whites, adding a little sugar at a time. Don't over beat, just until it holds peaks. Spread over pie filling, sealing around edges. Put in 350 degree preheated oven just until tips of peaks turn golden brown. |
