G IS FOR GRANOLA GOBBLE
1 1/4 c. regular oatmeal
1/3 c. wheat germ
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shredded coconut
2 tbsp. sunflower seeds
1/4 c. chopped almonds or walnuts
3 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 c. raisins

Mix the oatmeal, wheat germ, and salt in the bowl. Add the coconut, seeds, and nuts; mix well. Put the oil, except for 1 teaspoon, in the saucepan. Add the honey. Heat and stir until the mixture begins to bubble. Pour over the oatmeal mixture and mix until there are no lumps and everything is evenly damp. Spread the remaining teaspoon of oil in the frying pan. Spoon the mixture into the pan. Cook at medium heat for 15 minutes, or until the granola is dry and light brown in color. Keep mixing and scraping the pan bottom with the spatula while it cooks; granola can burn at the blink of an eye. Take the pan off the heat. Add the raisins. Let the granola cool. Then store it in a covered jar or can.
