CHOCOLATE-COVERED STRAWBERRIES 
1 pt. perfect strawberries
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 tbsp. solid vegetable shortening

You will also need 1 foil-lined baking sheet (place in freezer). You must use clean, dry berries with fresh green stems. Melt chocolate and shortening together; stir until smooth. Remove baking sheet from freezer. Holding berries by the stem, dip into the chocolate to cover 2/3; let the excess drip off. Place berries on baking sheet. Let stand for 1 hour to harden or up to 24 hours. Do not refrigerate.
