SIMPLE SHARK DINNER
Being an avid shark fisherman I have eaten shark meat in many forms all of which is very delicious. When you live in the east coast area the typical shark that is caught is a mako - lemon - dusky or dog-fish. I have caught sharks that range from 1 pound to 320 pounds and only have one rule when it comes to shark size. That is, if the shark is bigger than my 22 foot boat I cut the line.

Basic ingredients for shark meat dinner:

1 lemon
1 container (plastic bag) with Italian bread crumbs in it
1 egg
1 c. milk
Garlic salt or powder
Pepper
1 tbsp. fresh parsley, minced

Place dry breading ingredients in a plastic bag (bread crumbs, parsley, garlic salt (or garlic powder), pepper). Shake to mix.

Beat egg and milk together until well mixed. Dip shark pieces in egg/milk mixture, then dredge in flour mixture in bag to coat well.

Shark may be pan fried in 1/8-inch olive oil in a skillet, or can be deep fried in hot vegetable oil heated to approximately 365°F.

Drain on paper towels and season to taste with salt and pepper while still hot.
