TURNIP CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. turnips
2 tsp. sugar
1 med. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can mushroom soup
Parmesan cheese
Cracker crumbs

Put sliced turnips in heavy pan, do not add water. Cook very slowly, covered, until turnips are completely cooked. Mash turnips. Mix next four ingredients; add to cooked turnips. Pour into casserole. Top with cheese and crumbs. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
