CHINA PEPPER STEAK 
1 lb. round steak
2 green peppers, sliced
2 tomatoes, quartered
4 onions, chopped
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. bean sprouts
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. water

Slice steak thinly in short cross-wise pieces. Heat butter in skillet and add garlic, salt, and pepper. Add beef; brown on both sides. Add soy sauce and sugar; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add rinsed sprouts, tomatoes, and green peppers; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
