MICROWAVE DIVINITY 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt, corn syrup and water in 8 cup glass measuring cup. Microwave on high, uncovered for 3 minutes. Stir. Microwave on high, uncovered 8 to 10 minutes or until a small amount dropped in very cold water forms a hard ball.

Meanwhile, beat egg whites in large bowl until stiff peaks form. Pour hot syrup in thin stream over egg whites while beating at high speed. Add vanilla and continue to beat until mixture holds shapes and starts to loose gloss (about 5 minutes). Fold in pecans and spoon onto wax paper. Makes approximately 50 pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
