GRANDDADDY'S FRIED CORNBREAD 
2 c. white cornmeal
2 tsp. salt
boiling water
bacon grease

Heat bacon grease in a cast iron skillet. Mix cornmeal, salt, boiling water to the consistency of oatmeal. Drop large spoonfuls into hot grease and fry until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with butter.
