TOSSED LAYERED SALAD | |
1/2 head lettuce, cut in bite-size pieces 1 c. celery, minced 1/2 c. onion, minced 1/2 c. green pepper, minced 1/2 pkg. frozen green peas 3/4 jar Bacos or broken bits 1 1/4 c. Miracle Whip (if mayonnaise is used add a tbsp. sugar) 4 oz. more as needed, shredded Cheddar or American cheese Put layer of lettuce on bottom of dish. Combine celery, onion, green pepper, frozen green peas. Put on top of lettuce. Spread layer of Miracle Whip on top and to the edge of dish on all sides. Then layer Bacos over this. Put on final layer of shredded cheese. Seal tightly with plastic wrap and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Will last several days if kept covered tightly in refrigerator. |
