WHITE-AND-CHOCOLATE-CHUNK
COOKIES
 
Children of all ages will love these easy and richly delicious cookies, made with three kinds of chocolate. Makes 2 dozen cookies.

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. (5 oz.) white-chocolate baking pieces
1 c. (5 oz.) milk-chocolate chunks
1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to moderate (350 degrees). Beat butter and sugar in bowl until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir in white-chocolate pieces, milk-chocolate chunks and pecans.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons and onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing evenly.

Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for 12 minutes or until almost set in center. Cool on sheets on wire rack 2 minutes. Remove from sheets and transfer cookies to wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
