2 c. white sugar 1 c. light corn syrup 1/2 c. water 1 c. butter 1/2 to 1 lb. pecans 1 tsp. baking soda Combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Then bring to a boil. Add butter and boil to 230 degrees. Stir until 280 degrees. Add nuts at 305 degrees. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Pour into pre-buttered sheet cake pan and spread out. Break into small pieces when cold. |
