PEANUT BRITTLE | |
1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. light corn syrup 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. light brown sugar 1 to 1 1/2 c. peanuts (or pecans or cashews) 1/4 tsp. baking soda Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Place butter, syrup, and both sugars into a 1 quart saucepan. Stir and boil to 280 degrees. Working quickly, remove from heat; add nuts and baking soda. Stir and spread with wooden spoon. (Stores very well.) One time I made it and forgot the baking soda, it was delicious, just like a Planter's peanut bar! |
