PUMPKIN COOKIES 
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chopped dates

Dissolve soda in pumpkin. Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs. Stir dry ingredients and mix with fruit. Add pumpkin and fruit mixture to batter. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 300°F for 15 minutes.

Yields 4 dozen.
