SUNDAY SPECIAL COFFEE CAKE 
TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine ingredients in small bowl; mix lightly with fork until crumbly. Set aside.

BATTER:

1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Sift flour with baking soda and salt; set aside. In medium bowl beat egg until frothy. Then beat sugar and melted butter until combined. Add milk and vanilla.

Use wooden spoon; beat in flour until combined. Pour in a prepared pan. Sprinkle topping over batter. Bake 25-30 minutes or until done. Let cool and cut into squares. Makes 9 servings.
