PRUNE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. prunes
1 c. nuts, if desired

Cook, cool and dice prunes. Chop nuts. Mix sugar and Wesson oil together. Add eggs and blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Beat then add prunes and nuts. Mix and pour in long pan. Bake for 1 hour in 300 degree oven.

SAUCE FOR PRUNE CAKE:

1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Boil 1 minute. Cut cake in squares and pour sauce on cake while hot.
