HOSTESS BROWNIES 
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. softened butter or oil
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. hot water

Mix well. Spread in 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Cool.

FILLING:

1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. Crisco
1/4 tsp. salt

Beat 5 minutes and add 1 cup powdered sugar. Beat for another 5 minutes. Spread over cooled cake.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. milk

Bring to rolling boil. Take off stove and add 2 cups powdered sugar and beat with mixer. Spread over filling.
