1 box Devils Food cake mix
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (block kind)
2 tbsp. oil

Mix cake according to package instructions. Use a griddle or electric fry pan and put the oil in the pan and cook at medium heat. Measure 1/2 cup of mixture and put in pan. Cook just as you would pancakes. Add more oil as needed. Let cool. Take block of ice cream and slice into 1-inch slices. Put one slice in between two cakes. Place in plastic bag and freeze.
