This was my favorite cake as a little girl. Was often my birthday cake! I made it for the first time when I was 12 years old.

I am now 72 years old and my grandson Tyson just made it for the first time! Very exciting and delicious, as well as rekindling many great memories! I haven't had a piece of Jackie Robinson Cake for maybe 35 - 40 years as our recipe has just been relocated. Such an exciting day!!

I would love to know the history of this very tasty and unique cake.
