CHEESE & CHILIES APPETIZER | |
1 1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese 3/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese 2 sm. cans roasted & peeled chilies Clean seeds out of chilies (under water) then cut up in hunks. (Chopped with seeds can be used.) Shred cheese and mix all together. Grease pan 9 x 13 inch (prefer glass dish). 1 layer each: Cheese, chilies, cheese, chilies, cheese. Mix together with fork: 3 eggs, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/4 cup milk; pour over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. To make ahead of time, bake 45 minutes then refrigerate or freeze. Before serving, thaw then bake 15 minutes. Let stand 10-15 minutes before serving. Note: This is a double recipe. |
