ADAM'S FAVORITE CHERRY SQUARES 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cherry pie filling

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks. Mix dry ingredients and add to above. Add beaten egg whites. Spread all but 1 cup batter on an 11 x 17 inch cookie sheet. Put cherry filling over batter and drop remaining batter on top. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Glaze with powdered sugar frosting.
