SWISS STEAK 
Swiss or round steak, 1 1/2 inch thick
Salt and pepper to taste
1 c. flour
1/4 c. onion
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
4 c. water
1 tbsp. mustard
4 tbsp. ketchup

Salt and pepper meat, pound in flour, brown meat and onion in oil. Add water, mustard and ketchup and sugar, bring to boil. Turn down and simmer covered for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally. Use Dutch oven.
