“GINGERBREAD” IS IN:

GINGERBREAD 
1/2 cup candied ginger, chopped
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3 tbsp. ginger syrup
1 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon

Chop the ginger and combine with flour (sift before measuring).

In the bowl of an electric mixer on low speed, combine flour/ginger mixture, brown sugar, ginger syrup, slightly softened butter, baking powder and cinnamon.

Pour batter into a buttered loaf pan and bake at 350°F for 60-90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Note: If you don't have ginger syrup, add 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger to 3 tbsp. corn syrup, liquid brown sugar or molasses.
