CREAM CHEESE COOKIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. yellow or devils food cake mix

Cream butter and cheese. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add cake mix 1/3 at a time, mix well. If mixer is used, add last part of cake mix by hand. Chill dough for 1/2 hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees, quick moderate. Drop by scant teaspoons on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until delicately browned. Cool cookies before removing from baking sheet.
