BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
3-4 lbs. spareribs, cut into pieces
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
1 c. catsup
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 1/2 c. water

Barely cover spareribs with water. Bring to boil and simmer 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from water and place in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. Top each piece of rib with a slice of unpeeled lemon and a slice of onion.

Combine remaining ingredients in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and pour over ribs. Bake in 350 degree oven until well done, about 1 1/2 hours. Baste ribs every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add more water.
