WICKED GOOD KING EDWARD
SANDWICHES

It is the BEST! The ketchup bakes, so it changes flavor, and the bacon, well it makes it all good. You have to TRY THIS, as you will not believe just how good this is. We do not wait for the "end of the bird" turkey. We make this even when there is still "good stuff" left on the turkey!

leftover turkey meat, sliced
sliced bread (your favorite)
American cheese
ketchup (Hunts)
bacon

Turn on the broiler. Assemble open faced sandwich on a cookie sheet.

Place a slice of bread on the cookie sheet. Top with a slice of American cheese. Cover that with sliced turkey - stay within the cheese. Now take the ketchup and drizzle it over all the turkey.

Lastly, take bacon slices, cut in half, and cover the top, over the ketchup - about 1 1/2 slices of bacon per sandwich.

BROIL until the edges of the bread are (getting close) to being burnt - the bacon should be fully cooked.
