MARGARET'S BANANA BARS 
1-1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 ripe bananas
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Frosting:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
6 c. powdered sugar

Cream together butter, sugar, eggs, banana, and vanilla in medium bowl. Sift together flour, salt, and soda. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Fold in walnuts.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes on greased 12 x 16 (or your largest) cookie sheet. Frost when cool.

FROSTING: Whip butter, salt, and vanilla. Add powdered sugar and a little milk at a time to make frosting spreadable. You may not need to use all the milk.
