CHOW MEIN CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion
1 can water chestnuts, chopped; optional
1 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can water
1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. chow mein noodles

Saute onions, celery, and meat in a pan. Combine soups, water and soy sauce. Add to meat mixture and place in a casserole. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Add noodles to top of casserole and bake uncovered for 15 minutes more. Boil one cup extra rice and serve with the casserole. Serves 8.
