CHEESE FONDUE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. pork or turkey sausage, browned and drained 11 slices of white bread, trimmed (frozen bread is easier to spread) 2 jars Kraft Old English cheese spread 5 eggs, slightly beaten 3 c. milk Pinch salt (optional) Spread cheese on both sides of each slice of bread. Arrange to fill casserole evenly by cutting some slices in halves or fourths. Sprinkle browned sausage between slices. Mix eggs and milk and a pinch of salt (depending on how salty sausage is) together and pour over all. Cover casserole and refrigerate at least overnight. To bake, set casserole in pan of hot water and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours with casserole uncovered, or until it is set in the middle. Good for brunch or luncheon. |
