SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS | |
1 lb. Italian sausage links 6 green or red peppers, cut in strips 3 lg. onions, sliced 1/4 c. dry red wine Prick sausage several times with a fork. In a large skillet brown sausage well. Drain reserving 3 tablespoons of drippings. Slice sausage, set aside; in liquid cook peppers and onions. Cover for 5 minutes. Uncover and cook until tender but not brown. Season to taste with salt. Add sausage slices and heat through. Add wine, heat slightly. |
