SALISBURY DINNER 
1 can or jar mushroom gravy
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
1/2 c. flavored bread crumbs
1 egg
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. red cooking wine or burgundy
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. marjoram
3 slices bacon

Fry bacon and remove.

Mix 1/3 cup gravy, beef, bread crumbs and egg. Shape into 5 to 6 oval patties. Cook in bacon drippings (2 tablespoons only). Brown on both sides.

Stir remaining gravy, water, wine and seasonings. Pour over patties. Simmer 15 minutes. Check and stir.

Serve over egg noodles. Garnish with crumbled bacon.

Add a vegetable or salad.

Dinner's ready.
