FRENCH STYLE GREEN BEAN
CASSEROLE
 
2 (1 lb.) cans French style green beans
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1 to 1 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
1 tbsp. melted butter

Drain green beans. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and add flour, salt, pepper, sugar, sour cream and onion. Fold the beans into above mixture. Spread in a 2-quart buttered casserole. Sprinkle top with cheese and finally top with buttered crushed corn flakes. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serves 8.
