1 c. soft butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift together dry ingredients and add to other ingredients. Form 1 inch balls (dough is usually quite soft). Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet. Makes about 40 cookies.
