2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 eggs
2 tbsp. buttermilk
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix together. Divide dough and color with food coloring. Chill then roll out and cut in desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees. Decorating these with sprinkles or icing is always fun.
