CURRIED FRUIT BAKE | |
1 (No. 303) can cling peach halves 1 (No. 2) can pineapple slices 1 (No. 303) can pear halves 5 maraschino cherries with stems 1/3 c. butter 3/4 c. light brown sugar, packed 4 tsp. Spice Island curry powder DAY BEFORE, IF DESIRED (PREFERRED) : Heat oven to 325 degrees. Meanwhile, drain fruits, drying well on paper toweling. Arrange in a 1 1/2 quart casserole in layers, pineapple, peaches, pears ending with pineapple rings with cherry in centers. Melt butter and add brown sugar and curry. Mix well and spoon evenly over fruit. Bake 1 hour uncovered. Cool and refrigerate overnight. Before serving, reheat in a 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour and serve warm. Excellent with ham, pork, lamb or beef. |
