AMERICAN CHOP SUEY | |
1/2 lb. elbow macaroni 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. latta (butter) 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tbsp. salt Dash of pepper 1 lb. ground beef 2 c. stewed tomatoes 2 c. sliced mushrooms (canned or fresh) Cook macaroni according to package directions. Sauce: Saute onion, and green pepper in latta, then add ground beef and cook for 15 minutes. Add flour and seasonings. After meat is cooked, add tomatoes and mushrooms; cook 10 minutes longer. Pour sauce over cooked and rinsed macaroni and toss together lightly. |
