SAVORY ADD-A-CRUNCH TOPPING 
2 c. dry oatmeal
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1/3 c. wheat germ
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Melt butter in microwave on high for 30-45 seconds in a 7x12x2 inch baking dish. Add remaining ingredients to butter. Mix well. Cook at high 7-8 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 2 minutes. Cool.

NOTE: This is a more nutritious substitute for croutons. It adds flavorful toasty crunch whenever you use it. Sprinkle on tossed green salad, soups, vegetables. 32 calories per tablespoon serving. Yield: 2 cups.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
