8 slices white bread
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. chopped celery
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. grated cheese
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Toast bread, butter on both sides. Cook meat, onions, celery, prepared mustard, and salt until onion and celery are tender. Alternate layers of toast and meat mixture and cheese in greased baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over layers in pan. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for about 30 minutes.
