CINNAMON ROLLS OR DOUGHNUTS 
2 c. scalded milk, cooled
1 pkg. yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten well

Add yeast and sugar to cooled milk. Add enough flour to make a thin batter; let rise until light. Cream sugar, shortening and salt. Beat eggs well.

Add creamed mixture and well beaten eggs to the sponge. Add flour enough to make stiff dough. Let rise in warm place until doubled. Roll dough 1/4-inch thick. Brush with melted butter and sugar-cinnamon mixture. Roll like jelly roll and cut 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch slices. Place cut side up on cookie sheet and let rise until double. Always cover dough while rising.

Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. Frost.
