PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH COOKIES 
1 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 c. creamy peanut butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Filling:

1/3 c. creamy peanut butter
3 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 to 6 tbsp. milk

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well. Add peanut butter; mix again. Then add the rest of ingredients. Shape into balls and flatten a little with potato masher.

Bake at 350°F.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
